EXTREME® cementless femoral stem is a modular reconstruction stem addressing complex total hip arthroplasty.

KEY BENEFITS

Modular: With interchangeable proximal and distal components, the surgeon can choose the ideal length and diameter for the femoral fixation.

Fixation focused: The femoral neck and nail are designed with vertical grooves, maximising the surface area for fixation.

Range of motion: The 10/12 taper allows for greater freedom of motion within the joint socket.

  • Distal stem is available in lengths of 250 to 400 mm.
  • The proximal component consists of four metaphyseal sizes. 
  • The stem material is titanium with a Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating.

  • The 10/12 (5°42’30’’) taper and thin, highly polished neck allow for greater joint range of motion than with a larger neck taper.

  • Ovoid shape and grooves increase the contact area for secondary fixation.

  • The femoral nail has an anterior curvature and channels to help with stability and different locking levels are available depending on nail length.
